Video: Dzoka Uyamwe- come back to suckle: Africans facing racism, come back home

“Dzoka Uyamwe,” literally translated from Shona, means “come back to suckle.” The song tells the story of an emigrant who has traveled far away from his ancestral home and is being taunted because of how dark his skin is. Luckily, his mother suggests the person comes back home where they are loved and missed.

Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi (22 September 1952 – 23 January 2019) was a Zimbabwean musician, businessman, philanthropist, human rights activist and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Southern Africa Region.
