Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve continues to stand as one of India’s most celebrated wildlife destinations, reflecting the extraordinary biodiversity and natural beauty of the North East region. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kaziranga is globally renowned for being home to the world’s largest population of the endangered one-horned rhinoceros.

Over the years, Assam Tourism has played a significant role in promoting Kaziranga on the international stage, strengthening eco-tourism initiatives and enhancing visitor experiences while preserving the region’s ecological balance.

Spread across vast grasslands, wetlands, and dense forests along the Brahmaputra floodplains, Kaziranga also shelters a rich variety of wildlife, including tigers, elephants, wild buffaloes, swamp deer, and hundreds of migratory bird species. The park’s thriving ecosystem has made it a symbol of successful wildlife conservation in India.

Tourism authorities and conservationists believe Kaziranga reflects the immense tourism potential of India, where diverse landscapes, heritage, culture, and wildlife together offer experiences that rival the finest destinations across the world.

As global interest in sustainable and nature-based tourism continues to grow, Kaziranga remains a shining example of India’s commitment to conservation and responsible tourism.
