The global art community is mourning the loss of Koyo Kouoh, a trailblazing curator and cultural visionary, whose sudden death at the height of her illustrious career has left a void impossible to fill. Koyo Kouoh, born in Cameroon in 1967, was renowned for her innovative approach to curatorial practice and her unwavering commitment to elevating African artists on the global stage. She held numerous influential positions, including founding the RAW Material Company in Dakar, Senegal, a multidisciplinary space dedicated to contemporary African art and culture.
